Obama praised journalists, advocated for unity, showed “tough love” to Donald Trump, and highlighted top moments during his time in office during his speech at the White House Correspondents Dinner which took place on Apr. 30, 2016.

He not only showed off his humorous side, but also made sure to show his appreciation for the help he has gotten over the years.

Obama highlighted his desire for unity and also acknowledged the conflict and tension that has come with his 8-year term, and every president before him.

(**SOT**) "I know you have jobs to do, which is what really brings us here tonight. I know that there are times that we've had differences and that's inherent in our institutional roles. It's true of every president, and his press corps. But we've always shared the same goal. To root public discourse in the truth. To open the doors to this democracy. To do whatever we can to make our country and our world more free and more just.
